I know it’ll be some time before the 3d stuff is widely available but as I can afford to spend several grand now I figured it would be a good idea to get it now, after doing a bit of homework. My understanding is that the tv has to have a certain refresh rate, i may be wrong. If anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
On the nvidia website which sells 3d equipment for 3d pc games they have that you need a 120 Hz monitor. Which has a higher refresh rate. In their faq section they say that 60 hz will not work, which I guess most monitors and televisions use. Also they say don’t buy a tv that simply converts a 60 hz signal to a 120 hz, it must accept 120 hz signals. Most tvs now say they are 3d ready that have the 3d feature built in. Here is the nvidia webpage that has that information. About half way down you will see a list of what you need.http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_M…
3D TV is based on providing a left and right eye signal, overlapped, and you can watch it with special glasses. Any TV should work just fine.
