Problem Playing Psone Games On A Ps2 With My Hdtv?

December 15th, 2009 by Elextron | Filed under HDTV.

I have a small problem playing my PSone games on my 32 inch HDTV. I recently bought a component cable that I hooked to my PS2 and it makes my PS2 games look great, but my PSOne games have a distorted picture. Is there a way to play my PSone games without removing the component cable?

Your PS1 games are not as good graphics as your PS2 games. The same is true when you go to the PS3. The original Wipeout (PS1 game) on the PS3 looks really really bad. With that said, you can turn on smoothing and up-scaling before starting the game. Turn your PS2 on without a game in it. Go into your settings and enable these settings. This will help your PS1 games look better. Depending on the game, it may still look bad, but that is all you can do to make PS1 games look better. Because of the graphics, you can only make them look so good.
