Why Don’t Ps2 Games Played On The Ps3 Go Full Screen When Using A Hdtv?

November 21st, 2009 by Elextron | Filed under HDTV.

So far I tried out God of War 2 and Devil May Cry 3. Does it matter which type of cables you use? I have the regular cables that came with the PS3. The tv is a LCD HDTV max at 720p. I don’t know much about 480i and 720p and all that.

The regular cable are composite cables, which are not HD cables. If you want to be able to display in HD, or at the very least, widescreen for some PS2 games, you’ll need either a component cable (RGB), or an HDMI cable, both of which Sony carries, or you can get other brands (ie Monster HDMI, or Monster PS3 component cables).
