Does An Hdtv With A Digital Tuner Still Require A Converter Box?

I would like to know before I buy it-a local store ahs one for $150 but if it still needs a converter box I might as well buy an HD radio because it wont need one and it can run on batteries in case of an emergency! Maybe Ive seen one too many previews for 2012!

Is It True That Some Ps3 Games Require An Hdtv And Will Not Work On A Standard Tv?

I tried to buy a game for my PS3 but the people at the store said that I might need an HDTV to play it. I need someone to confirm this. Do some games really need an HDTV to play?
